A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation, I, the Lord, will hasten it in its time.

Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labour in vain, Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain.

By January 8, 1974, the magic figure of 100 students was reached. Mount Carmel School was shifted to E-87 Anand Niketan and the year after that to E -34

Cometh The Hour...

He who calls you is faithful, He will do it.

Fl. Lt. Vijay Kumar Williams resigned his permanent commission in the Air Force. He could now devote all his time to the fledgling school. He desired that it should become an institution of good repute. This desire helped create the Mount Carmel vision found in Luke 2:52.

On Solid Ground

You will possess their land. I will give it to you for an inheritance.

This decade began with the DDA allotting a two-acre plot in Anand Niketan to house the school. Within a few months, construction of the barrack-style 20-room building began.

Breaking New Ground

We are Labourers together with God.

In its Silver Jubilee Year, Mount Carmel West was born, with the aim to set up finally in Dwarka, New Delhi. With 165 students, Nursery and Preparatory classes were started as the afternoon session in the mother school in Anand Niketan.

1998
Home, Sweet Home

Discipline your children, for in that there is hope ; do not be a willing party to their death.

With the desire of Mrs. Williams to empower the girl child, in April 1998, the hostel for senior girls was inaugurated in Anand Niketan. Initially, there was room only to help 50 girls make this their home away from home.

Today, double that number of senior girls from the North East have found residence here.

The New Millennium

Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.

The turn of the century witnessed the birth of the sub-city Dwarka, and the new Mount Carmel. Mrs. Neena Williams handpicked the plot, in Sector 22. By April 2002, the building opened its doors to welcome the afternoon batch from Anand Niketan.

2004
The Plot Thickens

"I am the vine, you are the branches. Apart from me, you can do nothing"

With her desire to make early childhood learning fun, Mrs. Williams wanted to house the little kids in a building of their own. That dream was fulfilled in 2004, as the pre-school was inaugurated a short distance from the main school in Sector-22 of Dwarka.

The Fifth Estate

You Lord, are our Father. You are the potter, we are the clay.

Within its first decade, the Dwarka branch caught up with Anand Niketan among the leading schools in New Delhi. With a waiting list larger than the total enrollment, the rooms appeared to shrink. To improve the teacher-student ratio, the Junior Wing in Sector-28 was born in 2013.
